Join Roslin’s Foraging walk when the hawthorn is in full bloom!

We’ll learn the myth and medicine of 20 or so plants, first bathe, forage a summer salad to share in some of the most beautiful spots of the ancient woodland that is Roslin Glen.

We’ll cover plant ID, foraging sustainably and foraging tips, tricks & safety.

We’ll explore the folklore & facts that speak of huathe as a revered, ancient and otherworldly ally.

Join us to celebrate bealtaine, may and the may tree.

We’ll sit outside in the gorgeous garden of @thesalisburycentre round the fire, meet or reconnect with haw through our senses, learn about haws medicine & ways to work with, and immerse ourselves in faery lore, lyric and sound.

In this specially curated day, we will embody the key elements of Beltaine, supported by lore, stories, herbal knowledge and sacred fire.

Bealtaine is a potent time & this workshop will support in raising vitality and energy, attuned to the summer cycle. It is also a time to remember the Brehon Laws, rooting us in reciprocity with the land and appeasing the faerie folk. Unusually we will be connecting with Birch, but all will become clear on the day. Nettle will be joining us too, in multiple forms.

A “Despacho” is a shared powerful ceremony (originally from the Peruvian Andes) to express gratitude, give back to the Land and sow together powerful prayers for a shared manifestation.

In honour of the times we are living in, this ceremony is an opportunity to honour the Water as the sacred element which we have to rebalance in our life and in society as a whole. A safe and grounded Sacred Space for making offerings and sing songs and rounds to honour the water, rivers, oceans and the Sacred Mother
